We’re seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to lead high-level technical initiatives and help scale a complex platform. This senior role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentorship, and system-level thinking. The position is open due to growth and will focus on designing resilient, scalable solutions with modern technologies.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy across key initiatives.
  • Build and maintain full-stack applications with Python and Ruby as core technologies.
  • Design and implement scalable systems supporting advanced matching and marketplace features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and data, to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and raise the technical bar across the team.
  • Balance technical expertise with a business-first problem-solving approach.

Who You Are
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Live in the US (East Coast)
  • Strong expertise in Python and Ruby.
  • Background in distributed systems, scalable architectures, or marketplace platforms.
  • Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers.
  • Strong collaborator with empathy and a team-first mindset.
  • Preference for candidates who have thrived in startup or high-growth environments (not strictly extensive industry backgrounds).
  • Stable career history — not a job hopper.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI/ML applications or recommendation systems.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data processing and compliance standards.
  • Strong academic or proven technical background (STEM-focused programs or equivalent expertise).
  • Experience with published technical content or conference speaking is a plus.
