What You'll Do
Work directly with engineering project managers on turnkey control panel solutions for solar and battery storage systems:
Panel Testing - Perform shop testing and quality control on protective relay and control panels before shipment
Assembly Support - Validate wiring diagrams and bills of material during panel assembly
Inventory Management - Help manage parts procurement and shop inventory for panel production
Field Work:
System Commissioning - Travel to project sites to commission and start up control systems
Troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve issues with existing protection and control equipment
Field Surveys - Conduct site investigations to support engineering design projects
This is a dynamic role where you'll split time between shop work and field assignments (approximately 2-3 days/week travel). You'll gain expertise in protective relaying, control systems, and renewable energy infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
Required:
Technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data
Strong communication skills for working with teams and customers
Valid driver's license and U.S. work authorization
Comfortable with both shop work and field travel
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
Preferred:
Associate degree in electrical technology or related field
Background in electrical construction, testing, or commissioning
Experience with control panels, PLCs, or protective relays
Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, relay test sets, etc.)
Understanding of electrical safety practices

Location: Connecticut office with integrated panel shop
Work Mix: Combination of shop/office work and field assignments
Travel: 2-3 days per week to project sites in tri-state area; limited overnight stays
